The Challenge

Penicillin Bar, ranked #24 in Asia, is renowned for its exceptional ambiance and offerings. However, their previous website didn’t reflect the quality that earned them such prestige. It was outdated and failed to showcase the bar’s full potential. We took on the task of rebuilding their online presence, ensuring their website now truly mirrors their world-class status and elevates their digital experience to match the quality of the bar itself.

Even though we were in Canada and Agung and Laura were travelling around Asia competing in bar-takeovers and cocktail competitions, we were able to seamless coordinate via WhatsApp and email. This work dynamic is common for us, as we require no-to-low supervision and hand-holding to produce great work.

Our Approach

We began by evaluating Penicillin Bar's outdated site, identifying areas where it failed to reflect the bar’s innovative concept and status as one of Asia's top bars. We collaborated closely with the team to create a modern, user-friendly design that captured the essence of the bar and showcased their unique offerings. The final result was a responsive, visually compelling website that effectively communicates Penicillin Bar's quality and creativity.

The Solution

The solution was to completely revamp Penicillin Bar’s online presence, focusing on creating a modern, visually engaging, and user-friendly website that aligns with their reputation as one of Asia’s top bars. We provided hosting, set up their Business email with Google Admin and created a promotional/announcement video for social media.

  • Video: to increase the appeal and immersiveness of the site.
  • Image sliders: to efficiently display visuals & information.
  • Branding: We created their visual identity for online, so they could effectively showcase their business. This included font and colour scheme.

Results & Impact

  • Increase of brand awareness: As a highly searched bar on Google Maps, Penicillin now had a website that captured users' attentions and was shared more often.
  • More Menu clicks: A good menu can be the difference between getting a customer and losing them to a competitor. Showcasing Penicillin's menu impacted prospective customers' decisions.
  • Consolidation of online presence: Now social media and contact information could be organized in one place that effectively brings everything together and causes overflow from one channel to the next, which helps with brand awareness, engagement and conversions.
